The Red Devils are keen to sign Christoph Baumgartner in the summer‘s transfer window.
The highly-rated midfielder has given quiet an impact for Austria national team and in the Bundesliga, raising the interest of other teams in Premier League and Germany.
The 21-year old has become an influential part of Hoffenheim and a first team regular since he made his first debut back in May 2019.
The Austrian has performed in a total of 17 Bundesliga games this season, while he started 15 of them, netted 3 goals and provided 5 assists.
During his last campaign as a first team regular, he scored 7 goals in 26 appereances.
According to ‘The Sun’, Man Utd has been keeping an eye on Baumgartner for some time now and he is considered as summer potential move, eventhough he might be really expensive.
His contract with Hoffenheim expires in 2023 so if Hoffenheim plans to sell one of their key players, they will drive a hard bargain.
At the moment a fee of £16M has been considered, but it‘s very unlikely that United would sign him for that price.
