Manchester United make pact with La Liga giants over World Cup winning defender

On Wednesday The Red Devils suffered a setback after being defeated 2-1 by Sheffield United at home.

United‘s coach Solskjaer was left to rue his squad‘s mistakes as the defending position wasn‘t managed well, while Oli Burke secured his side‘s second victory of the League.

It looks like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has finally found the formula that will get the best out of Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes, but last night‘s performance must have sparked some other issues.

While he continually keeps changing Harry Maguire‘s central defensive partner between Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof, he might better be looking for a centre-half with some experience under his belt.

The Spanish outlet ‘Marca’ claims that United have shown interest on Sergio Ramos, who has a contract with Real Madrid until the end of the campaign.

However, it is also stated that The Red Devils have made a deal with the Spanish side, not to ‘aggressively’ try to get Real Madrid‘s captain.

Due to La Liga rules, the defender has been allowed to sign a pre contract with non-Spanish clubs since this winter‘s transfer window, but there are speculations he is still dealing to extend his current contract with Real Madrid.

It‘s believed that Manchester United could be one of the few clubs that can afford Ramos’ wages.

The 34-year-old has caused transfer rumors before, but this time he might be plying his trade elsewhere, while this would be the first time since 2005.
