Barcelona are expected to include Ansu Fati in their matchday squad for their La Liga game against Levante on Sunday.
The 18-year-old suffered a meniscus injury last November just as he was hitting his stride – he prematurely finished the 2020/21 season with five goals in 10 games.
Fati returned to Barça training last month, and SPORT report that he is expected to make his return against Levante this weekend.
There was speculation that he could feature against Cadiz on Thursday, particularly after their draw with Granada in which they resorted to route one tactics, even sending Gerard Pique up front. But Barcelona are keen to protect Fati and so will not rush him back.
Fati was handed Barça’s vacant number 10 shirt following the departure of Lionel Messi, and they will be relying on the youngster to help turn their fortunes around.
