Man Utd negotiating to agree terms, £28million fee could get signing done – Face competition

Manchester United recently established contact with Brazilian star Gabriel Veron, and the latest news is fascinating.

According to the “Sport” report, Manchester United is negotiating an agreement with the 18-year-old attacker before discussing it with Palmeiras.

The famous Spanish media mentioned that the Red Devils and Manchester City took the lead in securing the signing of the teenager, while the player also received the attention of La Liga giants Barcelona.

Veron’s current contract with Palmeiras will expire in 2025 and has a clause of 60 million euros. In this case, Palmeiras need not rush to sell his assets.

Sport claims that at present, the young attacker is worth about 20 million euros, but South America hopes to sell him for at least 32 million euros (28 million pounds), which is what Sky Blue paid for having his service early in 2016.

Veron was one of the best Brazilian players in the 2019 U-17 World Cup. He scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists in 7 appearances to help his country lift the trophy.

This Saturday, Palmeiras will face Santos in the Libertadores Cup final. The winner will participate in the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar next month.

Manchester United does need a natural right-wing winger to strengthen the attack, but Veron, who is still inexperienced, should not be considered a starter if he eventually moves to Old Trafford.

Therefore, Solskjaer should sign a proven high-quality RW this month or summer, so that his team can challenge the best team in the mainland.

In your opinion, should Manchester United sign Gabriel Veron for £28 million?
