Jesse Lingard’s Manchester United career seems to be over.
The 28-year-old was told that he would approve the move to leave Old Trafford before the next week’s transfer window closed.
West Ham came in front, signing the midfielder on loan. If this move is realized, he will be reunited with his former boss David Moyes.
Lingard scored the first goal of Moyes’ ill-fated tenure as Man Utd manager during a pre-season friendly in the summer of 2013.
He was then loaned to Birmingham, followed by Brighton Albion, that season, so he never made a competitive appearance in front of Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor.
Despite Lingard’s disappointing performance in the past 18-24 months, Moyes knows there are real talents there. If he can help the England international rediscover his state and confidence, then this deal will be extremely beneficial to both Hammer and Lingard himself.
Regardless of what Lingard’s performance in the next few weeks and months is in terms of loans, it is unlikely that Lingard will return to Manchester United.
What makes Lingard think of is that it is reported that Lingard’s weekly salary is 100,000 pounds, which makes Manchester United fans excited.
Numerous tribute videos have been posted on social media in recent days, including this one titled: ‘Goodbye Jesse Lingard… it was a good run King’.
The video includes footage of Lingard playing for the Manchester United youth team. He joined the club’s academy at the age of seven.

His form during the 2017-18 season was also superb. In 48 games, he scored 13 goals and registered seven assists.
Fans will never forget the day he turned Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium into his own personal dancefloor…
